چکیده

This paper presents a project memory (PM) based on a decision-making process model and applied on case studies from PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN Automotive Research and Innovation Department. This research work is developed within the framework of knowledge management systems for design projects of innovative products. First, we discuss the links between innovation, decision-making, knowledge in engineering design. Then we discuss the role of project memories in a knowledge management framework for design processes. A specific project memory is exposed. It is applied to a distributed design project of innovative product in collaboration with a supplier. This PM is based on a model written in UML object oriented language. The 4 views of this model are detailed. Knowledge management issues and results are discussed. Particularly we explain the problems encountered during the process of capturing the decision-making and the re-use of knowledge from the project memory.

Decision Based Project Memory for Design Projects of Innovative Products

Our approach is developed within the framework of knowledge management systems for design projects of innovative products. We observe that if there could be organisational KM Systems for innovative and creative design like expert networks, there are few KM tools to support those activities especially for project processes. The primary objective of our research is to set an overall framework int...
